Denholm’s client are looking for an enthusiastic and commercially aware individual to join the Marketing team as a Category Analyst to manage the flow of insight from both internal and external data sources. The role is an exciting opportunity for an individual to develop a career in the FMCG sector with one of the UK’s leading food businesses who have seen impressive growth over the last 3 years.
The successful candidate will work with the Commercial Department with the objective of building the analytical corner stone for sustainable and profitable business growth while supporting key customers with category data providing insight on the ongoing performance as well as future opportunities. You will deliver Category support, initially focused on one key Grocery customer; you will contribute to the seasonal analysis and support the Commercial Team with compelling product reviews, data analysis as well as market research, gap analysis and NPD to mention a few. On top of that you will collaborate with the Virtual Business Unit providing in-depth category insight.
We are looking for a methodical, outgoing individual with around 2 years’ experience within an analytical and commercially driven environment. Confidence, good communication skills, strong numerical and analytical skills are a must, as is your ability to interpret data to deliver commercially valuable insights. Your ability to organise, plan and hit deadlines while working on multiple projects will definitely not go unnoticed! Top this with impeccable attention to detail, advanced Excel and strong Powerpoint skills as well as ability to create strong internal relationships and you might be our ideal candidate!
