To continue and mould this vision for the future, we are looking for an experienced and highly commercial Category Marketing Controller to be based at their Head Office in Edinburgh.
Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, the Category Marketing Controller will be an enthusiastic and passionate team player willing to collaborate with the wider business. You will be a leader with a proven track record of increasing consumer commitments to the brands through the execution of exciting, commercial and category changing annual brand plans. A robust individual, you will secure investment for your category with forward-thinking NPD and innovation plans as you will be accountable for your own P&L which will be underpinned by opportunities for distribution growth.
You will spearhead the marketing strategy which must be built upon a strong commercial framework, to deliver target profit and to provide a healthy brand halo for the portfolio as a whole. More specifically, you will manage the category portfolio, including the development of the product mix, marketing mix and launch plans for NPD. You will develop a deep understanding of the consumers and keep them engaged with the brand and recruit new ones.
We are looking for someone that has held a senior Marketing management position with a proven track record I the FMCG industry. You must have experience of the NPD process - from innovation to launch as well as exposure to challenging commercial negotiations. You will also have an instinctive feel for what would work in the category, have strong communication skills, enjoy working with different teams coupled with a willingness to share and exchange ideas.
