Head of Digital - Glasgow Area

Denholm are working exclusively with a leading international charity based in Glasgow as they look to add a Head of Digital to their growing, dynamic team. As Head of Digital you'll be tasked with spearheading the online supporter experience - and your primary focus will be across web, social and email.  You'll work collaboratively across the organisation to provide technical expertise; to develop existing and new marketing channels; and to create first-class online campaigns for engagement. 

With responsibility for a recently established team of 3; your duties as Head of Digital will include (though will not be limited to):

  • Developing and delivering an international digital strategy
  • Being the subject-matter-expert for all things digital within the organisation
  • Creating a 'test and learn' approach to digital communications and constantly striving to improve digital channels - ensuring they remain supporter-led and insight-driven
  • Overseeing the development of pro-bono marketing activities such as Google Grants and free social marketing
  • Working with other departments to improve the supporter experience (including CRM an payment strategies)
  • Improving a suite of many international websites
  • Overseeing the creation of additional websites for new affiliates
  • Overseeing the development and management of all international social channels
  • Managing external digital suppliers and ensuring value for money
  • Ensure all digital output meets the charity's distinctive brand and reflect the organisation's values
  • Overseeing the development of monthly data analysis , driving forward digital learning and development
  • Developing learnings and recommendations based on data analysis from tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Insight
  • Providing leadership to the digital team
  • Creating efficient team processes and ways of working including resource management, timely briefings and management of team projects

  • A degree or relevant experience
  • Experience effectively leading a digital team
  • Significant experience of transforming a user's digital experience across websites, social and email markeitng
  • Strong technical knowledge and evidence of digital innovation
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • The ability to deliver multiple projects on time and on budget
  • Knowledge and passion for digital trends
  • Well developed leadership skills
  • First-class communication skills 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills (both internally and externally)

Ideally you will have experience work with or for a charity, though this is not essential. It is, however, important that you fit with the business culturally, and that the idea of 'giving back' appeals to you.
