I am looking for a Head of Editorial to join a well respect team based in Edinburgh for a 1 year maternity cover contract. This business is a professional body for more than 20,000 world class business men and women who work in the UK and in more than 100 countries around the world.
The Head of Editorial will lead the strategy, development and delivery of content across all digital channels to maximise engagement with the business membership and other key audiences. You will also have leadership responsibility for the Editorial Team and the strategic editorial direction.
Reporting to the Director of Digital Transformation, this role will oversee the delivery of dynamic, targeted and personalised editorial content, which aligns with the strategic and business objectives of the organisaton, editorial style and brand guidelines, and current best practice. Key to this role is defining the editorial direction and creation of content across all divisions, ensuring content is coordinated, planned and promoted effectively. Driving and managing change is a critical dimension of the role.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a senior editorial position, with a proven track record in content management and production processes across digital channels. You must display strong editorial judgment, with an ability to edit and tailor content by channel. Digital will be part of your DNA and you will naturally think about creating engaging content that communicates with audiences across a range of multimedia channels.
The post holder will also have proven leadership and engagement skills and be a strategic and tactical thinker who can align content to an organisation's objectives and activities. Experience in driving change will be an advantage.
