Denholm are looking to find a highly experienced Channel Marketing Manager to manage the On Trade channel for a well known and successful premium spirits business. Our client have a great reputation for bringing an innovative approach to marketing and sales and the role will lead a team that operate at the interface of several functions including senior sales, marketing, category development & business planning.
This role reports into the Head of Commercial Marketing and will be the customer/channel expert within marketing for the On Trade. You will lead the development of plans that align brand and customer strategies according to the principles of DAVPQ (Distribution, Availability, Visibility, Price/Promo, Quality) in order to deliver the company’s mission to deliver dynamic profitable growth in the UK. You will be the expert in the needs of On Trade customers; understanding what it takes to deliver flawless execution at point of purchase in a way that differentiates their brands in a tough commercial arena.
Working closely with the marketing and sales teams, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of the sales targets and strategic plan. You will have direct line management responsibility for a team of Customer Activation Managers and Executives.
We are looking for a an experienced line manager with a proven track record of managing a high-performing team and will bring a numerate and commercial skill set along with the ability to think strategically. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to interpret consumer, market, category, shopper, customer and financial information and bring an in-depth knowledge and recent experience of the UK On Trade market place. With strong planning and project management skills you will also be required to credibly influence, lead, and energise across all business functions. Experience for this role can come from a number of disciplines including brand management, category management, sales or customer marketing.
