Senior Category Manager - Drinks - Central Belt


Denholm’s client, a market leading FMCG organisation, is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Category Manager for an exciting vacancy within their highly successful marketing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience within a specialist category.

Reporting into the Head of Customer Marketing, you will assist with developing and implementing actionable category strategies to deliver profitable growth across the grocery, convenience, on-trade and wholesale channels. The Category Manager will also be responsible for leading and managing range reviews across key customers, general merchandising as well as space planning to really drive the category agenda. Presenting to trade customers at all levels as well as visiting stores to keep up to date with the latest activity in the market is also a regular requirement of the role.

For this role, we’re looking for a skilled Category Manager from a blue chip FMCG business, however we will also consider candidates stemming from a Sales/Channel Marketing backround with experience in managing multiple data sources, including IRI, Kantar and IGD. Previous experience in space planning is also highly desirable. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to forge strong relationships with the sales team acting as a key point of contact for all category activity within your dedicated accounts. You will be strategically minded with a passion for customers and possess strong project management and planning skills. Tenacity, enthusiasm and self-motivation are all key!
