Denholm’s client is one of Scotland’s best known and highly regarded charities working with children, young people and their families. We partnered together to recruit an experienced Senior Communications Officer to join their growing team. Following a recent rebrand, the opportunity is for an initial 6-months fixed term contract which has the potential to go permanent.

As the Senior Communications Officer, you will play an active role in the management of the Communications Team while developing and implementing successful PR and Marketing campaigns working within the culture, and philosophy of the charity. You will also play the key role in raising awareness of the brand as well as increasing engagement with stakeholders. Your in-depth knowledge of the media landscape and ability to draw on your expertise while developing innovative media strategies is key, as you will be involved in a number of various projects.

We are looking for an individual able to balance strong communication and editorial skills while managing and setting a clear direction for the teams ythey’re in charge of. If you can inspire and encourage your colleagues to define and deliver both objectives and evaluation of these, you might be our ideal candidate. Your ability to manage budgets as well as a sound understanding of the importance of communications in the delivery of agreed targets combined with the ability to prioritise and focus on both impact and delivery will be crucial. Top this up with a flexible, proactive attitude, resilience and self-motivation and you might be our perfect candidate!
